Bienvenidos a este pequeño rincón del universo donde pueden encontrar mis historias, devaneos y fantasías. Espero que disfruten leyéndolos aunque sea la mitad de lo que yo disfruté escribiéndolos.

Para todo aquel a quien pueda interesarle, acá van algunos datos sueltos sobre Phoenix.G.Fawkes:

Phoenix en el mundo real: En aquel lugar extraño y muchas veces bizarro que muchos llaman "mundo real", mi nombre es Mariana. Soy bastante bajita, delgada, con pelo y ojos castaños. Uso anteojos y las uñas pintadas de colores estrambóticos aunque soy bastante clásica para vestirme. Tengo dos abuelos, una abuela, un tío, dos tías y un primo; padre, madre, hermano dos años mayor y una gata más gorda que Garfield y que tiene casi la misma vitalidad. Me gusta leer y escribir, bailar aunque lo haga mal, y viajar. Tengo la cabeza en las nubes todo el día, estudio cine y sueño con ganarme la vida algún día como guionista y novelista. Nací antes de los Idus de Marzo, por lo que soy una Piscis del año '88 y vivo en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Si hay algo más que quieran saber, siempre pueden mandarme un mail. No soy la persona más rápida para responder pero siempre lo hago.

Libros: Mi idea de paraíso terrenal sería una casa cuyas paredes estuvieran tapizadas de libros del piso al techo. Ahora que lo pienso, es una descripción casi exacta de mi propia casa, donde si te descuidás se te puede caer una montaña de libros en la cabeza, amén de que los guardamos en los lugares más inesperados. Leo un poco de todo siempre y cuando sea ficción, no me enloquece la ciencia ficción (salvando excepciones como por ejemplo Lois McMaster Bujold), la fantasía épica empieza y termina con Tolkien y el romance puro y duro a lo Danielle Steele no me convence. Después, soy de lo más ecléctica: puedo estar leyendo al mismo tiempo a Stephen King y a Jane Austen. Me encantan los relatos de misterio y me fascinan las historias de vampiros. Algunos autores/libros para recordar: Papaíto Piernas Largas, Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer, Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, Louisa May Alcott, Christine Nöstingler, Elsa Bornemann, Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Stephen King, Julio Cortázar, La Princesita, Carmilla, Edgar Allan Poe, L.M. Montgomery, J.K. Rowling, Lois McMaster Bujold, Luces del Norte, el diario de Ana Frank, El Horla, Jane Eyre, Cumbres Borrascosas, El Principito, Rosaura a las diez, Lolita, Cien años de soledad, El beso de la mujer araña y tantos más.

Películas: De todo, en serio. Para horror de muchos de mis compañeros de facultad, paso de la película de Holllywood más pochoclera al cine europeo de los '60 sin ningún problema.

Series de TV que miro: Heroes, Dexter, House M.D,Gossip Girl, Pushing Daisies, Tin Man, a veces miro también Scrubs, Desperate Housewives y Monk. Antes miraba Smalville pero ya me cansó, y en cuanto a Lost y Bones me tengo que poner al día urgente.

Series de TV que tristemente terminaron: Buffy, Angel, The O.C, Everwood, One Tree Hill (en realidad no se terminó, pero la 3ª temporada fue tan mala que lo dejé de mirar), Gilmore Girls, The Nanny, Friends, Tru Calling, John Doe, Epitafios, Jack & Bobby, Reunion, Studio 60, etc.

Fandoms donde Phoenix suele meter la nariz: Depende un poco de mi estado de ánimo, hay algunos fandoms que me entusiasman por un tiempo y luego los dejo a un lado para volver a ellos más tarde. Aquí van los principales: Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, House M.D, Heroes, Gossip Girl, The O.C, Artemis Fowl, Bones, Everwood, Jane Austen, Miles Vorkosigan, Dexter, L.M. Montgomery, His Dark Materials (o Luces del Norte), Piratas del Caribe, etc. Si quieren saber más, miren los autores y/o fics que aparencen en mis favoritos.

Harry Potter: Este fandom merece un apartado especial, dado que es en el que más incursioné tanto leyendo como escribiendo. Soy bastante canon (si bien alguna vez fui una Harmonian y a mucha honra): básicamente, todo lo que escriba J.K lo acepto como si fuera ley. Sin embargo, a la hora de leer fanfiction leo cualquier cosa siempre y cuando esté bien escrito, desde Severus Snape/James Potter pasando por Hermione Granger/Bellatrix Lestrange o incluso Profesora Sprout/Percy Weasley (no vi ninguno de esos, pero si lo encuentran me avisan) hasta llegar a Dobby/El Calamar Gigante. Ya les dije: siempre y cuando esté bien escrito, puedo leer cualquier cosa. Admito que le escapo bastante al MPreg y al Draco/Ginny o Draco/Hermione, pero si es bueno de verdad lo leo. Cuando escribo, generalmente lo hago sobre situaciones relacionadas con la guerra o sobre personajes secundarios aunque hay muchos de los principales que me gustan. Severus Snape me provoca fascinación y furia al mismo tiempo (es el personaje más interesante y casi el más detestable de la saga), Dumbledore es tan complejo que siempre mantiene mi interés, Luna es mi ídola y Neville, mi héroe, adoro a Lupin y a los Weasleys, Percy incluido, Tonks me hace reír a carcajadas, los Black me fascinan aunque deteste a muchos de ellos, nunca superé lo que le pasó a Sirius, Hagrid me parte el corazón, me gustan Fleur y Dobby, admiro a la profesora McGonagall y Ron es el miembro del trío con el cual más me identifico, aunque les tengo mucho cariño a los otros dos, y James/Lily serían mi OTP si tuviera uno. Si quieren saber algo más de mi locura pottérica, lean los fics, que para eso están.

To those who might be interested, here you have some random facts on Phoenix.G.Fawkes:

Phoenix in the Real World: In that weird, often bizarre place known as 'real world', my name is Mariana. I'm quite petite and thin, with brown hair and eyes. I wear glasses and my nails are usually painted with strange colours, even though I tend to dress in a rather classic fashion. I have two grandfathers, one grandmother, one uncle, two aunts and one cousin. I also have a dad, a mom, a brother two years older than me and a cat as fat as Garfield and almost as lively. I'm always lost in daydreaming, I enjoy travelling, reading and writing and I like to dance even thought I'm not that good. I'm at university studying filmmaking and my dream is to become a screenwriter and a novelist one day. I was born before the Ides of March, so I'm a Piscis girl born in 1988 who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Anything else you might wish to know send me an e-mail. I don't always reply at once but I try my best.

Books: For me, Heaven would be a place full of books - pretty much like my own home, where if you're not careful you risk suffering severe damage by a ton of books falling on your head. I read anything and everything as long as it is fictional. I'm not much of a sci-fi fan (except when it comes to Lois McMaster Bujold) and romance of the 'Danielle Steele' sort is not my thing. Apart from that, I'm rather eclectic: I can read both Stephen King and Jane Austen at the same time. I love mystery and I'm fascinated by vampire stories since as long as I can remember. Some favourite books and authors: Daddy Long Legs, Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, Louisa May Alcott, Christine Nöstingler, Elsa Bornemann, Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Stephen King, Jilio Cortázar, The Little Princess, Carmilla, Edgar Allan Poe, L.M. Montgomery, J.K. Rowling, Lois McMaster Bujold, His Dark Materials, Ana Frank's diary, Le Horla, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Saint-Exupéry's The Little Pince, Rosaura a las diez, Lolita, One Hundred Years Of Solitude and many more.

Movies: Anything, really. To my classmates horror, my tastes go from Hollywood to european films of the sixties without a problem.

TV shows I watch: Heroes, Dexter, House M.D, Gossip Girl, Pushing Daisies, Tin Man. Sometimes I also watch Scrubs, Desperate Housewives and Monk. I used to watch Smalville but now it bores me and I have to watch the last seasons of Bones and Lost ASAP.

TV shows that sadly came to an end: Buffy, Angel, The O.C, Everwood, One Tree Hill (it's not really over, but I hated Season 3 so much that I stopped watching it), Gilmore Girls, The Nanny, Friends, Tru Calling, John Doe, Epitafios, Jack & Bobby, Reunion, Studio 60, etc.

Fandoms where Phoenix pokes her nose: It depends on my mood. There are some fandoms that spark my interest for a while, then I forget about them and later on I go back to them. Harry Potter: This fandom deserves its own space because it's the one I've read and written about the most. I'm rather canon - even though I once was a proud Harmonian. Basically, anything J.K writes is law to me. However, I can read anything and everything if it's well-written. From Severus Snape/James Potter and Bellatrix Lestrange/Hermione Granger to Professor Sprout/Percy Weasley - actually, I've never seen one of those, let me know if you find it - and Dobby/The Giant Squid. I've told you, I can read anything as long as it's well-written. I'll admit that I tend to avoid fics that portray either MPreg or Draco/Hermione or Draco/Ginny, but if it's really good I might read it. My fics are usually about the war and are starred by minor characters, even though I also like the main ones. Severus Snape both fascinates and infuriates me, Dumbledore is so complex that always keeps my interest, Luna and Neville are my heroes, I love Lupin and all the Weasleys, including Percy, Tonks makes me laugh into tears, the Blacks fascinate me even though I hate several of them, I never got over what happened to Sirius, Hagrid breaks my heart, I like Fleur and Dobby, I admire Professor McGonagall, Ron is the trio member I feel identified the most even though I'm rather fond of the other two as well, and James/Lily would be my OTP if I had one.
